Roles & permissions
Give each teammate exactly the access they need, no more and no less. Vary it by location.
Areas & levels
Access is gated per area: dashboard, inventory, customers, sales, purchasing, reports, audits and admin. Each area is set to one of three levels: none, view or manage. Build any custom role from this grid under Settings → Roles.
The built-in roles (owner > admin > manager > staff) are editable within your own rank, and can be reset to defaults.
Assigning roles per location
Assign a member a role per location under Settings → Team. A location-specific assignment overrides an all-locations one, so someone can be a manager at one store and view-only at another. Owners always have full access.
Capabilities
Beyond area access, roles can grant capabilities. For example:
- Price override: discount up to the organization maximum.
- Override max discount: approve discounts beyond the organization maximum.
These drive the discount override flow, where a discount is confirmed with a secret code and recorded for compliance.
Internal staff (no email)
Add floor staff who don't have email: the team form generates a unique employee ID and a temporary password. They sign in with the ID (which maps to an internal login), and you show the credentials once.
Discount override codes
An authorized employee sets a private PIN-like override code on their Account page (gated by their password, never displayed). At checkout, that code authorizes a discount and stamps the audit trail, so an unattended, logged-in register can't give discounts on its own.
