Inventory & the ledger

The Inventory module is where your catalog lives and where every stock number comes from.

Products & variants

Create a product as simple (one default variant) or with axes that generate a variant per combination, for example every size × color. Each variant is its own SKU with its own on-hand and cost. A product is considered low stock if any of its active variants is low.

Assign a category to drive custom fields, and optionally a preferred supplier so reorders route to the right vendor automatically.

Adjusting stock

Never edit a quantity directly. Record an adjustment. On the product detail page, choose a variant, enter the new count or a delta, and pick a reason (damaged, found, shrink, correction…). The adjustment posts a signed, costed movement and updates on-hand in the same transaction.

Weighted-average cost

Every inbound movement (a purchase receipt, a positive adjustment, a return) recalculates the variant's weighted-average cost. That cost is what's captured as COGS when you sell, so your margins reflect reality.

The movement ledger

The product detail page shows the full ledger for each variant: every movement, its quantity, unit cost, reason and source document. Because the ledger is append-only, this history is a complete, auditable record of how the current on-hand and cost came to be.

Locations

Use the location selector to view on-hand at a single location, or All locations to expand each variant into a per-location breakdown. See Locations & transfers for moving stock between them.

Barcodes & labels

Every product has a scannable Code 128 barcode. Print label sheets from Inventory → Labels, and use a USB scanner anywhere the app accepts scans, including the search box.
