Shopify integration: sell online from the same stock
One stock pool, two ways to sell. What goes out the door at the counter comes off the storefront the same minute.
Overview
What it does
Connect your Shopify store and choose which products sell online. Stockroom pushes the catalog and keeps the counts in step, and web orders arrive here to pick, pack and ship, with the tracking email sent back automatically.
- You decide what sells online, per product, and how many to hold back for the counter.
- Sell one at the till and the storefront knows immediately. No overnight batch, no scheduled job.
- Already on Shopify? Import your existing catalog once so products match up instead of duplicating.
- Web orders land as real orders here, reserving stock while they wait to be picked.
- On Growth and above, an order short on stock ships what you have and the rest becomes a backorder your reorder list already knows about.
- Fulfil here and Shopify emails your customer on its own. Add a carrier and tracking number and it goes in that email.
- Cancellations and returns behave properly: stock only comes back when the goods do.
- Independent of Square. Run either, both, or neither. Neither one needs the other.
How it works
Shopify integration in three steps
- 1
Connect
Authorize your store, then choose which of your locations feed the stock it sells from.
- 2
Bring your catalog over
Already selling on Shopify? Import what's there once. Products match by SKU, so a second run can't duplicate them.
- 3
Choose what sells online
Flip a product on, and optionally hold a few units back for walk-in customers.
- 4
Pick, pack, ship
Web orders queue up alongside everything else; fulfil them and the customer gets their tracking email.

Works hand-in-hand with
Square integration
Import your Square catalog, customers and sales via CSV, connect by OAuth for two-way live sync, and charge app-created sales on a paired Square card reader. The payment reconciles back automatically.
Learn moreBackorders
When an order comes in short on stock, ship what's on hand and hold the rest as a tracked backorder. It shows up on your reorder list, turns into a linked purchase order in one click, and closes out when that stock arrives.
Learn moreMulti-location
Track on hand per location and move stock between them with a request/ship/receive workflow. Stock only changes on receipt.
